The former Lagos governor said he had remained consistent in his political career and strengthening the ruling party, stressing that it is time to reap the fruit of his labour. The national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu has called out some members of his party who are also interested in the number one position in the country. Recall that Tinubu had months ago announced his intention to contest in the 2023 presidential election. Taking a swipe at other candidates in his party interested in the position, Tinubu said while the likes of Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu and other presidential aspirants defected to the ruling party, he has remained in the ruling APC. The APC national leader revealed this during a meeting with the party’s Senate and House Representatives Caucus at the National Assembly on Wednesday.
