GentleMen of the press, recall that the people Democratic Party filed a suit at the federal High Court, Port Harcourt division  seeking the disqualification of our Governorship Candidate, Arch Tonye Cole on the ground, among others,  that our candidate is a citizen of United Kingdom,  Recall also that today Hon. Justice E.A Obile of the Federal High Court 2, Port Harcourt  entered judgement in favour of the PDP and against us and in the judgement, disqualified our candidate from participating in 2023 elections.  While we are bound by the judgement of the court, pending appeal, we wish to retaliate that our candidate is qualified to contest the said elections because  section 182 (1) (a) of the 1999 constitution under which the court reached the decision does not disqualify a person who has voluntarily acquired the citizenship of another country or who has made a declaration of allegiance provided that such a person is a citizen of Nigeria by birth.  This is so because  s

PDP: Wike Issues Fresh instructions Against Atiku:Nwogu Nnamdi

According to a news that was published by the Punch Newspaper online this morning, it was reported that the Coordinator of the Peoples Democratic Party's Presidential Campaign Council, in the Omuma Local Government Area of Rivers State and the former supervisory councillor in the area, Mr Nnamdi Nwogu, has spoken about the alleged attack on him and some members of the party, by some thugs for displaying campaign posters of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the Eberi area of Omuma, last Sunday. During interview with Punch correspondent, he was asked if Wike's rift with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was responsible for the attack, as he said he doesn't know if the governor was responsible for it. He said, "This PDP is one party, one umbrella but, since our governor did not get that position (presidential ticket) at that primary, there has been a division between Atiku’s camp and Wike’s camp." Further talking, he said, "They do not work together, even the governor made it open.

"Autopsy Has been Concluded On Davido's Son Ifeanyi, and it Confirms The Boy Drowned,Said Lagos Police Officer Encharge:Membis247

After the death Ifeanyi, the son of Nigerian popular musician, David Adeleke, the Lagos Police Command concluded to conduct an Autopsy to determine how the incident happened for easy arrest of Victims. Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police public relation Officer, on Saturday confirmed that the autopsy conducted on the corpse of Ifeanyi Adeleke revealed that he died as a result of drowning. "Autopsy has been concluded, it confirms Ifeanyi Adeleke drowned" he stated. According to a source who explained that the eight domestic workers interrogated by the police in connection with the boy's (Ifeanyi Adeleke) death had been detained for some reasons, which included the failure to uphold the the duty of care of Ifeanyi. The source also applauded the Lagos Police Command for their efforts in conducting the autopsy noting that it was standard practice for the police to do so.
