A Magistrate in Port Harcourt has remanded the dismissed Inspector Oba Christian, who killed a tricycle driver, Edmond Ikechukwu, on the 10th of December, at Rukpokwu axis of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The dismissed former Inspector Christian was remanded after Chief Magistrate, A.O. Amadi-Nna, declined to entertain the matter citing lack of jurisdiction shortly after his arraignment in court on Monday by the Police.
Our correspondent reports that the charge sheet shows that the dismissed police is arraigned for killing late Ikechukwu by shooting him on the left side of his jaw with an AK-47 rifle.
