How Rotimi Amaechi is becoming hot Cake in the forthcoming Presidential Race 2023:Membis247Blog

The Presidential ticket of the APC has been one of the most debated topics in Nigeria ever since the 2023 election is getting closer, as the former Governor of Lagos State, who is also the national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, is one of the favourites for the ticket.

However, some people are pushing for other candidates who have declared their interest in running in the party, such as Rochas Okorocha, Dave Umahi, Orji Uzor Kalu, and others, which will make the party's primary election very competitive, especially since the party has promised to let the ticket be open for everybody.

However, recently, the former governor of Rivers state, Rotimi Amaechi, who has not declared his intention of running, is the latest chart in the country, as he is fastly getting attention that could boost his chance of becoming the party flag bearer.

How is Rotimi Amaechi becoming a hot cake ahead of the APC's primary election?

Firstly, some weeks ago, the Coalition of Northern Youths endorsed and threw their weight behind Amaechi, claiming that he is the best presidential candidate for the presidency, as he has an adequate age of 56 and good health status to rule this country.

Apart from that, there is another report that claims that the APC presidential ticket is more likely to zone into the South-South Region of the country based on the current situation in the party. If this is true, Amaechi, who has spent many years with Buhari, would have a better chance of getting it.

Not only that, how Rotimi Amaechi was given the chieftaincy of the trusted Son of Daura and how his presidential banner is currently flooding the city where President Buhari was born is concerning

Even the Ohanaeze seems to be more pushing for Rotimi Amaechi to take over the Igbo presidency that they are agitating for, as they are always short listing him as a politician who should go for it. 

Although President Buhari doesn't deny the fact that he has a favorite person whom he wishes to succeed him, he claimed he will keep the person secret.

Many people believe that all this sudden attention that Rotimi Amaechi is gaining may not be a coincidence, but that he may be the person Buhari may end up choosing as his favourite successor.
