The governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has reacted to the results of the Kuje Area, Abuja council chairmanship election where a member of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Suleman Sabo was declared winner of the February 12 election.
Reacting to the outcome of the polls, the governor said the election in the Federal Capital Territory is a barometer of the mood of the nation and a precursor to the 2023 election.
He further stated that a stronger and united People's Democratic Party is on the rise and that Nigerians are tired of the All Progressive Congress due to its governance.
As you may know, the contestant of the PDP, Mr Suleman Sabo, contesting for a second tenure was declared winner of the February 12 council chairmanship election in Kuje Area of the FCT after gathering a total vote of over 13,301; according to Premium Times to beat his closet opponent, Sarki Hamidu of the APC who got 7,694 votes.
